Ontelaunee / Maiden Creek
They are one and the same. Ontelaunee Creek starts at Route 309 at the base of the ridge in Lehigh County. It then flows southwesterly, picking up smaller tributaries and becoming larger. It is then named Maiden Creek when it enters Berks County near Kempton. It continues its southwest migration into Lake Ontelaunee, where it is the sourced out by the Reading Area Water Authority as drinking water for the greater Reading area. The water that doesn't make it into the drining water system continues downstream until it reaches the Schuylkill River just below Leesport.

This creek originates from the southside of the Oley Hills which is in the Federally designated Pennsylvania Highlands.
